Well really, they are Greyhound Companions of New Mexico calendars but our own Ellie is the featured Cover Girl with the above photo! I always send them a bunch of photos and I'm aways pleased to see how many get used. Ellie and the other pups will probably appear inside the calendar as well. These calendars are a major fund raising item for GCNM with all of the proceeds going to greyhound adoption. Here is the content of the email I just received with order information:This message is to let you know your dog(s) made the final cut and will be featured in the GCNM 2008 Greyhound calendar!
This year's calendar design surpasses the previous ones we've produced and will make a wonderful gift for family and friends. Hopefully you'll want copies to grace your own walls at home and at work as well!
The calendars will be available at our reunion on September 23rd and you can purchase them at All Sports Trophies as soon as they are off the presses (505-268-2436 or 800-749-2436 to order - sorry, can't take credit cards, but send us a check and we'll send you the calendars right away).
Remember, you are helping our cause with every calendar you purchase! $12.00 each - get one free when you purchase ten.

Greyhound Companions of New Mexico
I was just asked by GCNM if we would sell the calendars on our website, Black Horse Design, and I happily agreed. All three of our greyhounds came to us through Greyhound Companions of New Mexico and we are always happy to support them! Just check our home page and as soon as I work out the details, I'll have an order link up.
I love the light this time of year as we move into fall. The angle puts a warm glow on everything and soon, the aspens on the peaks will be turning gold along with the cottonwoods down in the low areas. Unfortunately I'm so tired right now it's hard to enjoy it as much as I would like to. Each morning as I drag myself out to the shop, I repeat my mantra of 'this is the last year, this is the last year'.
Only the calendar knows Vannie is old...in her heart she is still just a puppy with a squeaky toy.

I'm going to check every day till the calendars go on sale, I want to get one before they sell out! I'm disappointed it wasn't a Ellie Belly photo that made the calendar.
That's a great one of Vannie!
Hi Janet - I'm hoping Ellie also got an interior month shot but I don't know what ones they used. They try to do 'arty' pretty photos that really show greyhounds in New Mexico. I'm actually going to be selling the calendars for GCNM from my website so I'll add a link as an update to this entry.
I'll get one too! Will they be available for us in the UK?
Sue I'll be happy to send one to the UK!
Carmon, Please congratulate your cover girl on behalf of me and Mabel. I know you are proud.
Great Vannie shot today! Those eyes are priceless!
I just need to know how to contact you and the dollar conversion - or could we do PayPal?
Sue, what I'll do is set it up on our business website so that the ordering will be done through PayPal, auto-conversion that way. Since our site automatically adds postage that wouldn't be appropriate for a calendar, I'll have it set to send an email with order information and then I'll send back a PayPal invoice. As soon as I have the calendars, I'll put a blog post up with a link so people can place orders. Thanks!
Tell the calendar folks that I never knew greyhounds were such clowns till I found your site, and I think the fun photos would sell better than the "arty" shots.
Now I'm wondering if all greyhounds are like yours, or if your pups are the exception??
Janet - the sad truth is our greyhounds are *very* typical! There is a reason they call them the '45 mph couch potato'. There are a *whole* lot more photos of greyhounds upside down than there are 'arty' ones! I do still plan to do an 'Ellie Bellie' calendar of my own photos after we get back from the east coast and I'll sell them at my cost if you want one. I'll try to fill all your needs...including moon phases!
Congratulations, Ellie! And I'm delighted to read that you're going to do your own calendar, Carmon. What fun!
