My dear friend, Liz, in Austin shared this quote with me as a New Year's wish and I hope she doesn't mind if I share it with everyone here...
CELTIC BLESSING
May you awaken to the mystery of being here and enter the quiet immensity of your own presence.
May you have joy and peace in the temple of your senses.
May you receive great encouragement when new frontiers beckon.
May you respond to the call of your gift and find the courage to follow its path.
May the flame of anger free you from falsity.
May warmth of heart keep your presence aflame and may anxiety never linger about you.
May your outer dignity mirror an inner dignity of soul.
May you take time to celebrate the quiet miracles that seek no attention.
May you be consoled in the secret symmetry of your soul.
May you experience each day as a sacred gift woven around the heart of wonder.

Happy New Year! All the best to the Star's Rest gang in '08.
Happy New Year! My computer crashed after my Christmas post! I was going to contact you and see if we could drive by on our way home, meet you, and say hello to the animals! I do believe we'll be returning next Christmas though, so there's then. All the best in the new year. Hugs and pats to the four-legged loves in your life!
Happy New Year, Carmon! You and Mike have sown many seeds through your hard work at Star's Rest, and I hope you'll see the fruits of your labors multiply in 2008. Best wishes to all of you for a wonderful new year.
Thanks everyone and best wishes for 2008 back!
Allison, we would love to have you visit anytime and I'm sure the pups would have a grand time playing together! Glad you had a wonderful vacation and are safe back home again.
Hey there,
Thanks for all the pictures of your critters..and all of your insights. I'm afraid I've taken your Celtic blessing (which I love and am putting up somewhere to remind me of hope) and bastardized it a bit on my blog.
I gave you credit for the gift of it.
I love reading your blog. What you are doing later in life (I get to say that....I'm 50) gives me pause. What could I do to come closer to my heart's neighborhood?
Thank you, and all those you love on the mountain.
