Hey everybody...if you think it looked cold in these photos, wait till I put up today's post!
Janet, if it isn't too cold and the pups are just having a potty break I usually don't put their coats on. I did today though!
Thanks Robin, that was my first experiment with using the macro lens and trying to catch snowflakes. I was surprised at how many complete ones you can see.
The first photos look like calendar pictures, I love the snowflake close-ups and the frisky dogs, but it's the horse-sicle shots that really drive home how cold it is there.
A lifetime history with horses changed the day my husband and I adopted our first mustang. Since then, we have been captivated by the rich community of the herd and our ongoing study of herd communication and interaction is part of a book in progress.

The horses don't look too happy...and what the heck are the dogs doing outside without their new coats??
Brrrr... but Alison beat me to it.
Besol looks so handsome with white snow on his back to match his gorgeous face!
Cool snowflake photos....love the critters too, of course...
