Happy Fourth of July!

I'm hoping these are the only fireworks we see up here today. We've got glorious sunrises and tonight we'll have the Milky Way as our favorite fireworks display...how could anything made by us mortals be better than this?

As always with this holiday, we'll be hanging out up here, hoping some idiot with a lighter doesn't set our world on fire. They are kind of promising us a rainy day which is always a blessing for us on holidays connected with fireworks...funny how different our wishes are from most of the rest of the USA!

Morning Glory

Have a great day everyone! Eat too much! Laugh too much! And enjoy life!

Incredible rays! We're under a severe drought - I hope we manage to miss the fire side of the fireworks...

Ahhhh. :) With a sky like that, who needs fireworks? May your Independence Day be a peaceful one, Carmon.

I saw what you said to my Old Sister and wanted to give you a little high five. She is a brave woman indeed. Never used a computer until after she was over 66. Worked in meat packing and garment plants all her life--a sentence of hard labor. The story of her life could make a book...some might call it tragic...but not Old Sister. She deemed it an exciting life of toil and learning and she is still at it.

Great photos--as always, I might add. We WOULD be going to the woods today to get our heeler way from the fireworks, but it's too hot.

Your photos are beautiful.
You know, I was thinking of you on July 4th. Val of Fantastyk Voyage, and I were up in the Mora area, near the Enchanted Circle, staying in her cabin, visiting her Mom and doing some hiking and exploring.

I was wondering how far from there you are. Maybe next time we could get together?
